Inside Peek of The Grand Mosque

Not only a very impressive sight, Sheikh Zayed’s mosque in Abu Dhabi is a creation of light, love and life. I truly felt a powerful sense of peace and unification inside the Grand Mosque on my recent visit to the UAE.

The Flower of Life

The “Flower of Life” can be found in all major religions of the world. In Egypt, the source of all the monotheistic religions, the “Flower of Life” can be found in the ancient Temple of Abydos. In Israel it can be found in ancient synagogues in the Galilee and in Mesada. The “Flower of Life” contains the patterns of creation as they emerged from the “Great Void”. Everything is made from the Creator’s thought. And here’s it is on the floor and walls of Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

The 99 names of God each representing certain attributes or descriptions of God; in which God is seen as being the source and maximum extent of each name’s meaning cover the back wall and embrace me on my short visit inside this most beautiful mosque in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque, popularly called Grand Mosque by local residents, is seen as a “globally unifying” landmark from its conception to completion, bringing together designers, fe atures, materials and suppliers from nearly every corner of the globe: Italy, Germany, Morocco, India, Turkey, Iran, China, Greece and the UAE. With the largest chandelier in the world and the impressive inlaid marble work — it’s an amazing experience.
